New rumors are suggesting that the Hulk will have a huge role in the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok" film.
The rumor mills have been reporting that the green monster will appear in "Thor: Ragnarok." Both characters are absent in the upcoming blockbuster film "Captain America: Civil War," which led many to believe that fans will be seeing the two superheroes together in Thor's next adventure.
Mark Ruffalo, who will be playing Bruce Banner teases that "Thor: Ragnarok," will be a "buddy picture," Parent Herald reported. The film will feature Thor and Hulk's friendship that will probably come to blows to satisfy their fans.
"I think they'll probably fight," Ruffalo said. "There's no doubt, everyone wants us to fight at one point."
Who between the two superheroes will win the battle against each other? Chris Hemsworth, the actor who will be playing the titular superhero, revealed that the God of Thunder would be the champion, MovieWeb has learned.
"I'd like to think I let him win last time, but because this movie is called Thor, I have to win this time," Hemsworth said. "I hope it's a Butch Cassidy (and the Sundance Kid)) sort of story. That would be fun. I love Mark. I think those two characters haven't spent a whole lot of time talking to each other on screen (so far in the Marvel movies), so it's something new, I think it would bring something different out of the characters. It's hard to have a conversation with the Hulk."
So, how will the two characters encounter each other and end up fighting each other? The Geek has a delightful theory based on the comic book history of Thor and Hulk that could bring the two most powerful heroes to blows.
The sources revealed that Thor would catch Hela and Loki's plot in Asgard. Hela will destroy the Mjolnir and banishes Thor from Asgard.
The God of Thunder finds himself on a gladiatorial planet with his head shaved. He needs to fight for his life in the arena or he will die. The said planet was called Sakaar.
Thor realizes that he has to find a weapon to defeat Hela and Loki, which could be the Infinity Gauntlet or the assemblage of Infinity Stone. Next, he has to get off the planet.
Thor survives all the alien opponents he encounters in the combat even without his powerful hammer. Finally, he has to face the current champion of the arena, who is no other than the Hulk.
Let's see how things between Thor and the Hulk will turn in "Thor: Ragnarok" and if this plot theory is indeed true.
"Thor: Ragnarok" premieres on Nov. 3, 2017.
