'NCIS' Season 14 Spoilers & Cast: Tony's Replacement Found New Series Regular Confirmed

Earlier this month, E! News reported some heartbreaking news—one of "NCIS"' most beloved characters is exiting the highly followed series as soon as its 13th season comes to a close. Michael Weatherly, who has been on the show since it debuted as the spin-off of "JAG" back in September 2003, is taking his final bow as Anthony DiNozzo come the end of season 13.
The actor took to Twitter to share the news earlier this month, writing, "DiNozzo is a wonderful, quixotic character & I couldn't have had more fun playing him over the past 13 seasons. I will miss the amazing crew & cast, who are like family to me, & to the fans all over the world - THANK YOU, it's been a fantastic ride!"
"[Michael Weatherly] is a valued part of the CBS family, and the immense charm and talent he brings to the screen as 'Very' Special Agent Tony DiNozzo has helped make NCIS what it is today—the No. 1 drama in the world," CBS told E! News in a statement. "We thank Michael for all of his contributions to this successful franchise and look forward to continuing to develop projects with him as part of our ongoing development deal."
Meanwhile, with season 14 coming up on the horizon, TV Line reports that "NCIS" is looking to add two series regulars to the show to fill up the void that Weatherly will definitely leave on the show. According to the report, CBS is looking for a "name" actress to be the face of "Tess," an FBI Special Agent in her late 30's who recently flew out from New York City's Counter-Terrorism Unit.
"Tess" is supposedly a "quick-witted, sarcastic, shrewd" combination of bulldog and sweet kitten, but definitely more bulldog. This will definitely be an interesting character to put into the already dynamic mix of a cast, as she can easily blend into a group of politicians at a black-tie event or throw down with truckers on a pitstop.
Cinemablend also reports that "Tess" has been married and divorced three times already because the men she left behind just could not keep up with her. She's also a motherly figure to those who need one, but cautions anyone who threatens to step on her toes. As per BuddyTV, this new addition to the team is also quite headstrong and is ready to butt heads with the big bosses.
Fans will have to wait for more news on who will fill the shoes of "Tess" and details on the other new character to be added to the roster of talented actors who make up "NCIS." The show returns to CBS on Feb. 9.
