Mistwalker, the Tokyo-based video game studio, has found a lot of success in mobile gaming lately with its huge hit game "Terra Battle," which was first released back in the last quarter of 2014 for both the iOS and Android platforms.

But reports have surfaced, thanks largely to one Twitter user who goes by the name @VoltySquirrel, that the Japanese game developer spearheaded by its founder Hironobu Sakaguchi is working on a project, this time for consoles. And, he has already released two artworks for the yet to be announced video game to boot.

"Final Fantasy creator and Mistwalker founder Hironobu Sakaguchi has revealed concept art for his studio's next project," wrote IGN. " The artwork, created by Kimihiko Fujisaka, was showcased during a presentation at UH West Oʻahu Library in Hawaii. According to Twitter user VoltySquirrel, a full reveal for the game may be a year away."

The Twitter user was able to attend the creative media master class at UH West Oʻahu Library in Hawaii and shared few details he was privy to. He said that Sakaguchi did not really went into a lot of details regarding the project, but he shared that it would be for a current-gen console release. The artwork, on the other hand, was illustrated by Kimihiko Fujisaka.

VoltySquirrel also shared that Sakaguchi is leaning towards an art style that is sketchy while still being 3D and with visible pencil lines, among others. He also added that the complete details of the upcoming console game could be announced in a year.

"He didn't reveal too much about the game. Says it'll probably be a console release, wants the art style to be sort of sketchy while still being 3D. Visible pencil lines, etc.," VoltySquirrel also shared in his post when asked by some of his followers.

The Japanese video game designer and producer was behind one of the most well-received and widely-known role-playing game (RPG) in history, the "Final Fantasy" series, which was developed and published by Square Enix. The first installment of the series was released in Japan back in 1987 on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It was then released in North America in the 90s.

Apart from the "Final Fantasy" series and "Terra Battle," some of the other more popular video games from the team include "Blue Dragon" and "Lost Odyssey" for Xbox 360, and "The Last Story" for Wii, according to a report from Techno Buffalo.
