Great news for fans of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" who use it on PlayStation 4, as Treyarch has released the update patch 1.05, Attack of the Fanboy reports.

While there hasn't been any word on when it will arrive for the PC and Xbox One versions of the game, those who do have it on PlayStation 4 can obtain the update patch that is a whopping 9.4 GB worth of data. Treyarch's release comes before the highly anticipated release of the "Awakening" DLC pack, which will come to PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of the game.

Here's a quick tutorial on how to access Awakening, as per PlayStation Lifestyle:

Launch Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to trigger the patch and allow the game to update as normal. Once the update is fully downloaded, Season Pass owners and players who have purchased the Awakening DLC pack individually will simply need to activate the content through the in-game store.

Select Store from the main menu.
Select Map Packs.
Select Awakening DLC to activate the DLC pack.

A few things to look forward to in "Awakening" include Gauntlet's three unique environments set in a sprawling jungle, sub-zero arctic zone, and a rainy urban cityscape. "Awakening" will also feature Splash, an abandoned water park with waterslides, a wrecked pirate ship, and a river. Rise, on the other hand, is found in the snowy outskirts of Zurich, in the middle of an ongoing construction site for a massive subterranean Coalescence research campus. Gamers will also enjoy Skyjacked, a "a modernized version of the popular Call of Duty: Black Ops II multiplayer map Hijacked."

"Awakening also introduces the first chapter of Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s Zombies DLC adventure with Der Eisendrache. Set in a chilling medieval Austrian castle during World War II, Players will embark on an epic journey with the Origin characters Richtofen, Nikolai, Takeo and Dempsey," Activision reports on its official website. "The ancient site on which the castle sits was the scene of unspeakable horror where massive deposits of Element 115 have recently been discovered. Players will discover a variety of exciting plot twists and surprises as they survive waves of the undead."

Meanwhile, gamers will also be glad to know that issues regarding campaign have also ben addressed. A bug that prevents completed accolades from registering after finishing a level (which prevents players from achieving the Combat Distinction and Campaign Master challenges) has been fixed in this DLC.
