'Ghostbusters’ Cast, Trailer, Release Date & Plot News: Website up, First Look at Chris Hemsworth!

More news about the controversial "Ghostbusters" reboot has been released by director Paul Feig.
Cinemablend is reporting that Feig has announced that the official website for the film is up and running and that an official trailer will be released by the end of the month.
Also recently confirmed is the first look of Chris Hemsworth as Kevin, the group's secretary, as well as the first look into the Ghostbusters themselves.
According to Slash Film, the website shows the four new female Ghostbusters in both their civilian gear and in their Ghostbusting outfits.
While the uniforms are similar to those seen in the original "Ghostbusters" films, they are a shade darker than the original uniforms, with two pairs of orange stripes across the torso.
However, the biggest change in the uniform is the size and look of the iconic Proton pack.
The new version of the ghost-catching gear is much smaller than its predecessors. The straps of the pack are orange to match the stripes on the uniform and orange lights at the pack's gun tip.
There is also significantly less amount of wires in the newer version, giving a sleeker look. Rumors have already started to circulate that this Proton pack is smaller due to the change in technology and smaller motherboards and electronic chips.
As for the story, it seems some of it has been leaked. Wired is reporting that Kristen Wiig's character, Erin Gilbert, is a disgraced professor who joins the Ghostbusters after her book tries to confirm the existence of ghosts.
This is similar to Bill Murray's character, Peter Venkman, in the original films, but here, Venkman was already friends with the other two originals.
It also seems that Melissa McCarthy's character, Abby Yates, will be similar to Dan Aykryod's Ray Stanz.
Speaking of the original Ghostbusters, it has been confirmed that all three of the remaining Ghostbusters will be making a cameo in the film.
However, it must be noted that they will not be returning as Ghostbusters but as different characters altogether. Feig has told fans to watch out for them somewhere in the film.
As for the villain of the film, not much is known yet. It has been reported that there will be a lot more ghosts in this version than any other "Ghostbusters" movie.
