Penelope Cruz has never looked better.
The "Zoolander 2" actress has given birth to her and Javier Bardem's second child but she appeared as if she did not do so a few months ago. Cruz and Bardem are wonderful parents to son Leonardo and daughter Luna.
According to the Examiner, Cruz credits her rapid weight loss after each of her pregnancies to the Mediterranean diet -- a type of diet that incorporates healthy fats such as olive oil and avocados, lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, and seeds -- coupled with fat-burning dance workouts.
Aside from dancing, Cruz also does yoga, Pilates and runs. Yoga promotes natural weight loss, is low-impact, and reduces stress, says Jennifer Aniston's yoga teacher Mandy Ingber, who is also the author of "Yogalosophy."
Based on the traditional diet of the Italian, Greek and Spanish cultures, the Mediterranean diet is known to prevent the risk of heart disease as well as promotes longevity and weight loss, according to author Michael Ozner, who penned "The Complete Mediterranean Diet."
"I love Spanish food," says Penelope, as per Celebrity Health Fitness. "My diet is the Mediterranean diet, which is good food," she adds.
Cruz attended a photo call earlier in the day along with "Zoolander" co-stars Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. The actress appeared looking gorgeous in a form-fitting green dress that accentuated her best features, it's hard to believe she is a mother of two.
Cruz stresses that her family is her top priority in spite of her busy career as an actress. "I always knew I wanted a family because of the way I grew up," she shares. "Family has always been the most important thing."
Cruz is very close to her siblings. She has a sister named Monica, who is an actress and dancer, and a brother Eduardo, who is a singer and composer.
In fact, Cruz collaborated with Mónica on intimates line for "Agent Provocateur." The three Cruz siblings worked together to produce a short film for the said line. As the director of the video, Penelope made sure to include models of all sizes.
"I did the whole casting myself," Penelope proudly quips as per The Examier. "Some of the girls are 20. Some of the girls are 50. I made sure that we had a couple of plus-size models. It's like a celebration of all types of beauty," she fondly shares.
