Demi Lovato Wearing Fur While Cuddling Dog Sparks Controversy [Photo]

American singer-songwriter Demi Lovato posted an adorable photo of her as she cuddles her pet dog but what she wears contradicts the message in her photo and triggers a controversy.

On Tuesday, Lovato posted a sexy photo on her Facebook page, where she wore nothing but a bra and fur coat as she cuddled her dog, Batman, Seventeen reported.

It was supposed to be a sweet photo for the "Heart Attack" singer and her pet but the fur coat changed the entire idea of the shot.

Lovato's fans were outraged after seeing her with a real fur coat and a dog.

One user named Arka Biswas commented, "if that is fur, i am unfollowing the page!." Another user, wrote, "i love demi, but holding a dog and wearing some other animal's fur at the same time? really?"

"See I used to love Demi buuuut seeing her in fur? I'm disgusted," Nathasha V Barr wrote. "Sorry demi but that is disgusting! Fur is the most badest thing you can do! You say you love animals but love to wear a animal who suffert for your comfort?? This is not OK miss lovato! Sorry but you lost a lot from me," Melanie Demmelbauer commented.

Despite the commotion about the photo, few fans believe that Lovato was not wearing a real fur. "Demi is a huge advocate of faux fur, she wears it all the time and advocates animal rights. Get a grip," Ben Peterson wrote.

According to Us Weekly, it has not been confirmed if the coat is made of real fur. The "Confident" singer is known for rocking faux fur. In fact, fans can see her in the said outfit when she did her sultry music video for "Cool for the Summer."

Per the report, the shot was a behind-the-scene pic of her photo shoot for her Allure magazine cover last month. Lovato wore a black bra and bottoms with a black peacoat. However, in the image on her social media account, she wrapped herself in a brown fur.

The report noted that the Disney alum welcomed Batman last August after she lost her beloved puppy, Buddy. Lovato obviously loves her puppy. In a short video of Batman she posted seven weeks ago, she captioned it with "And even though my heart aches for Buddy, God did give me another little angel in my life and I wouldn't have him if I hadn't lost Buddy."

"It just goes to show you that everything happens for a reason and if you stay strong God gives you more incredible miracles. So here's my youngest son.. My little snuggle bug and my little superhero... Batman," she wrote.
