New Samsung Ultra HD Blu-ray Player-The Surprise is here
- comments
Samsung has recently announced the all new Ultra HD Blu-ray player that will automatically get the optimum performance from your TV.
With the approach of a new year, Samsung is all set for a great start. With it's mesmerising launch of the new M9500, at the upcoming CES in Las Vegas. The all new M9500 will apparently analyze the content of the pictures it's playing and use it's findings to automatically adjust the TV's picture and sound settings to the more optimal level.
According to Forbes Samsung hasn't released any detailed report on exactly how this device is going to work, company is keeping some secrets with them to revile in CES. Definitely it will be a bit more sophisticated than the deck simply acknowledging TV whether a source supports 4K and HDR or not, It would be good, too, if this auto-optimization feature didn't only work with Samsung-branded TVs.
As per GlobalAdvisors another important feature of the new M9500 is it Private Cinema Mode, which allows the user to output the deck's audio to blue tooth headphones for late night UHD BD viewing or watching a UHD BD while everyone else in the room is busy doing their own work.
In addition, the M9500 also introduces improved mobile integration versus Samsung's 2016 UHD BD debut player K8500. However the new feature claims to let the user watch Blu-ray on their tablets and phones as well as enabling user to use the M9500 as a port for watching on their TV 360-degree photos.
Early photographs of the M9500 appear to reveal a small LED in a narrow angled section at the top of the deck's fascia, which marks another welcome step over the display-free K8500.
Quite expected, the M9500 supports DTS-X and Dolby Atmos audio tracks in addition to UHD and HDR video. Given Samsung's apparent hostility to Dolby Vision though, it's no surprise to find the M9500 sticking to HDR10.
Presently there's no official word on a release date or potential pricing, it's quite expected that it will cost considerably less than the USD 400 launch price of the K8500. Hopefully the M9500 will also introduce slightly better picture quality than its predecessor, to put it more on a par with superior decks from Panasonic and Oppo.
