The Wham! poster boy and the legendary singer George Michael breathed his last on December 25, 2016. He was just 53 years old. It was his last boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz, who discovered his dead body on the fateful Christmas morning.

The tweets from Fawaz's account claimed that George had tried to commit suicide several times before - suggesting that this time, he might have become successful. However, he denied the rumors later and said that his Twitter account had been hacked by someone.

There are several other scandalous secrets that Fadi has shared about George though:

George was lonely and miserable in his last days

43-year old Fadi Fawaz told the CNN that he was not with George when he died. "We were supposed to be going for Christmas lunch. I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed. We don't know what happened yet," Fawaz said.

George's manager Michael Lippman has said that the British icon died of heart failure.

According to the Radar Online, though the singer was seen dining with a few of his friends in Oxfordshire in September 2016, he had increasingly pushed people away in the last few months, including his management staff and his personal team of stylists. He had become so irritable because of his health issues that his friends had started avoiding him.

George battled cannabis addiction at the world's most expensive rehab clinic in Switzerland

George had a chequered history of substance abuse. He smoked cigarettes, took alcohol, and did drugs too. Last year, the Mail Online reported that he was admitted in a Swiss rehab to seek treatment for his cannabis addiction. He was doing as many as 25 marijuana spliffs a day!

He had been missing from the public eye since 2014.

His boyfriend of four years, Fadi Fawaz (who is a celebrity hairstylist himself), disappeared too. It is believed that he was helping George during his rehab stint in Switzerland too.

Fawaz leaked George's new song 'This Kind of Love', and then deleted the link

On December 28, 2016, Fadi leaked a soulful single by George Michael called 'This Kind of Love' which was produced in 1991 but was never released. He deleted the link later due to legal issues.

While Fadi claims that he is 'heartbroken', some of the other friends of George friends accuse that he is just cashing in on the star's death to get his two minutes of fame. They say that the couple had already split eighteen months ago.
