Hollywood Sequels Will Rule 2017: Studios Announce Major Releases [VIDEO]

2017 is going to be an exciting year for movie buffs with a number of popular movie franchises coming up with sequels. From Johnny Depp's new Pirate voyage to Vin Diesel's high octane action film and the next level of erotic love story "50 Shades Darker" it seems 2017 has something for everyone!
According to the the Guardian apart from the "Wolverine" and "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequels, there are going to be sequels Ridley Scott directed "Prometheus" (Alien: Covenant, which is actually termed as a prequel) along with Marvel studios coming up with "Spider Man: Homecoming". This will be the first installment where "The Amazing Spiderman" actor Andrew Garfield will make way for Tom Holland making his debut as Spiderman. Besides this a sequel to "Blade Runner" starring Ryan Gosling and Harrisson Ford is on the way to hit the screens in 2017.
It is rumored as per Vanity Fair that a sequel of "Sex and the City" may hit the theaters this year. Also the Anne Hathaway starer "The Princess Diaries" and "Beetlejuice 2" might make their way to the screen later this year. The much rumored Avatar sequel by James Cameron could also hit the silver screen in 2017.
"Star Wars" franchisee will be coming up with its 8th installment "The Rogue One" with Felicity Jones as the Lead after the huge success of their last installment "The Force Awakens". "The Fast & The Furious" will also release its 8th offering, first time without the deceased Paul Walker and an interesting inclusion of a female villain in the form of Charlize Theron.
Marvel Studio's "Guardians of the Galaxy" will see its first sequel in the theaters this year while the most hyped movie of 2017 may be "Wonder Woman" starring Gal Gadot. Already a firm favorite among the DC Comics fans Wonder Woman is going to lead the charts riding high on its popularity when the Justice League will hit the screens later this year.
All in all, 2017 looks like a year of movie sequels and some prequels lined up carrying the legacy as well as the expectations of their preceding films, all aiming to win the audience's heart one more time.
