The iconic Ford Bronco and Ford Ranger SUV's are set to make a comeback in US after 11 years of absence, Ford announced at the Detroit Auto Show 2017. The new compact truck and SUV will be manufactured at Michigan Assembly plant in Wayne, Michigan.

This news has sparked excitement among enthusiasts but it should be noted that the models will be available in 2019 only. Ranger will hit the market in 2019 and Bronco will follow in 2020 as a part of their global portfolio as reported by CNET.

"We've heard our customers loud and clear. They want a new generation of vehicles that are incredibly capable yet fun to drive," said Ford's Joe Hinrichs, president of The Americas.

Joe also said that Ford Ranger will be for the truck enthusiasts who want an affordable, manoeuvrable and rugged pickup truck and Ford Bronco will excite thrill seekers those who want to venture out of the city on a 4x4 mid-size reports BusinessInsider. The company is expected to design the vehicles with a new look and feel adding an urban factor to them.

The trucks have been long suspected for a comeback from a couple of years. This year the company has finally revealed its plans. However, despite announcement, there is very less information on these models. There are no pictures shared by Ford but it did reveal that new Ranger will be based on the current Euro-spec model of the Ranger.

Ford Bronco came into production in 1966 and is one of the iconic vehicles launched by Ford. The productions was stopped in 1996 as the company introduced Ford Expedition to rival Chevrolet's Tahoe and GMC's Yukon and Suburban. Ford Ranger was produced in 1982 and its production was halted in 2011 and it was replaced by Ford F150 with EcoBoost V6 engines.

Ford has finally listened to its customers and fans and the decision to relaunch these vehicles could mean Ford bringing its best to rival Chevrolet and GMC.
