Samsung Galaxy S7: Android Nougat 7 Update Is Finally Here! [VIDEO]

Samsung Galaxy S7 users may finally have something to cheer for sure this New Year. Samsung is rolling out Android Nougat 7 update for its customers Over-the-Air (OTA) update starting from January 17, 2017, onwards.
But, as of now the excitement is limited to the users who have signed up for the Beta program. The Beta program for Android Nougat 7 update was initialized in November 2016. For normal users, the wait is much more and Samsung has not released any clear date.
As per Android Central, the update is being sent OTA first to Beta program registered users and subsequently for regular users at a later date.
It is rumored that the first updates are being released to European users. It is also unclear which all other variants of Samsung are being updated.
A leaked screenshot showed in Android Police that a Samsung Model SM-935F smartphone was tested for the Android Nougat 7 update. The size of the update was precisely 251MB. Along with the update, Samsung tries to patch up or improve security features, system improvements, and fix bugs.
Android Nougat 7 version brings in a host of features which include multi-tasking windows, New Emojis, new Google's GIF keyboard, 3D shortcuts to the home screen and much more. It also gives a Google Daydream support, vital for watching 3D videos.
Samsung Galaxy S7, the 5.1-Inch phone, and Samsung Galaxy S7Edge, the 5.5-inch smartphone were both released in March 2016. Galaxy S7 comes with a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (577 ppi), 4GB RAM and a storage of 32GB/64GB and with an option for Micro SD slot to beef up the storage.
The phone boasts with 12MP rear camera and front camera with 5MP resolution. The phone also supports 4Kvideo recording. The phone powered with 3000 mAh battery that lasts for one full day with one full charge. Thanks to the Quick Charge Technology, the phone recharges fully within an hour.
