‘Man of Steel 2’ Latest News & Updates: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Likely To Join Cast As Villain

With the series of back to back release of superhero movies from the DC Entertainment, "Man of Steel 2" is yet another much-anticipated superhero movie.  The sequel of 2013 Henry Cavill's Superman movie "Man of Steel" is expected to be action packed with powerful super villains. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will likely  to portray the villain role of  Black Adam in the movie.

The fans of Superman are looking forward to knowing the super villain with whom he will deal with 'Man of Steel 2'. So many names were speculated as the villain of the movie. And among the names, Brainiac and Black Adam were given much prominence.

Henry Cavill on his Instagram posted a Christmas and New Year wish, which confirms the appearance of Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam. Henry Cavill in a photo along with Dwayne Johnson posted that "Merry Christmas a Happy New Year from Superman and Black Adam @therock . Today we drink like gentleman and come together as friends. We're excited for what the future brings.."

From the post of Henry Cavill has given the confirmation to portray the role of the villainous Black Adam. But still, it is not confirmed whether it is the character in 'Man of Steel 2' or 'Justice League 2' or 'Shazam'. The Batman News reports that Dwayne Johnson and Henry Cavill has the same manager Dany Garcia, who is also the manager of the movie 'Man of Steel 2'. Dany Garcia is also the ex-wife of Dwayne Johnson. So this information also indicates the probability of Dwayne Jonson's Black Adam to be appearing in the sequel to 'Man of Steel'.

'Man of Steel 2' is expected to have more than one villain. So that means many other DC villains can be expected in the movie. Till the announcement by Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam, the name of Brainiac was much heard as the possible villain of the movie. Super Girl is expected to be a part of the sequel movie and there might be a fight sequence between Super Girl and Brainiac.

The other expected DC villains to be expected in 'Man of Steel 2' will be Metallo, Mongul, Parasite, Lobo, and Bizzaro. Warner Bros. 'Man of Steel 2' is rumored to be directed by George Miller, the director of Mad Max: Fury Road. Also, the name of J.J Abrams is also rumored to be the director of the movie. There is no much officially confirmed information about the movie so far.
