‘Clash of Clans’ 2017 Update: Jump Spell Event Coming to a Close; How to Effectively Maximize Feature

"Clash of Clans" is currently running its Jump Spell Event. The Jump Spell Event is the latest in-game special event introduced by "Clash of Clans. This Event is the perfect time for players to learn how to maximize the Jump Spell at a reduced brewing cost.

According to the website All Clash, the Jump Spell Event begun last January 17, 2017 and will end on January 20, 2017. Throughout the duration of the Jump Spell Event, the brewing cost for the Jump Spell will be massively reduced, thus giving "Clash of Clans" players the chance to get re-acquainted with the Jump Spell which has seemingly been replaced by the Earthquake Spell since the latter's release.

Jump Spell is a useful spell especially if a "Clash of Clans" player favors using ground troops during raids or during war events. If maximized effectively, it allows the ground troops to jump over walls (no matter the level of the wall).

In "Clash of Clans," most ground attacks, especially those utilizing Hog Riders, are dependent on first taking out the defender's Archer Queen. The Archer Queen is usually located deep within the defender's base and can be difficult to get to. That's where the Jump Spell comes in handy.

Attackers should deploy the Jump Spell near the Queen and make sure the attacking troops are near the spell's radius so that the troops, especially the Barbarian King, will shift their attention to the Queen. If the attacker uses air troops, going after the Queen is also a priority. Of all the spells in "Clash of Clans," the Jump Spell has the longest duration. Attackers should take note that it is important to time the spell deployment correctly and keep in mind the drop point of the Jump Spell.

This is because the attacking troops only ignore those walls not included in the Jump Spell radius and locks to other targets. Once they get a lock on another target, they would completely ignore the Jump Spell unless their task is done or they are dead.

Using the Jump Spell can be tricky at times. If the attacker gets the timing or placement wrong, the whole attack can quickly go south quickly and all the chances of getting a 3-star can vanish just as quickly.
