Summer is just around the corner and every woman wants to fit into their bikinis. If you’re worried about those excess fats in your bum, it’s not too late! Famed celebrity trainer, Ben Lucas, shares that it only takes 4 weeks to tone your bum without needing to starve yourself.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the former National Rugby League (NRL) player turned fitness guru Ben Lucas said that weight training combined with proper nutrition is the most effective way to tone one's butt.  According to Lucas, women need to concentrate their workouts on strength training to "build their bum or glutes."

Ben Lucas, who has trained Erin Holland and Edwina Bartholomew among others, suggests that squats, deadlifts, and lunges are among the best workout regiments if one wants to work on their butts. Lucas recommends doing 3 sets of back squats, 3 sets of 20 repetitions of walking lunges, 3 sets of 15 repetitions of dead lifts, and 4 sets of 15 to 20 repetitions of hamstring carls for the best results.

The ex-Cronulla Sharks player says those types of exercise should be done two to three times a week for 30 minutes at three-to-four sets of 12 to 15 repetitions. While doing those exercises will immensely help in toning your body, it is not enough. Lucas adds that proper nutrition is also needed.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Ben Lucas has his own travel fitness show called The Fitness Passport. Lucas is the founder of "Flow Athletic" and "Flow After Dark" yoga companies and states that the human body needs enough food to burn.

“It’s not about starving yourself,” said Lucas, “it’s about feeding your body correctly.” According to Lucas, humans need to eat protein and fats so that the muscle has fuel to grow.

For people having desk jobs, Lucas suggests taking the stairs as a way to exercise and stay in shape. Besides toning your butt, Ben Lucas recommends doing push ups, dips, bicep curls and shoulder presses to tone your abs and arms. Women must try these tips from a fitness expert to tone their bums and be ready for summer escapades!
