The event would be known as The Year Of The Rooster and would follow up with the Winter Wonderland, that has ended a few weeks back.
According to Forbes, in spite of finishing up a holiday event recently, Blizzard is all set to kick off another event in just five days, the Year of Rooster, which is the upcoming Chinese New Year. The teaser trailer released on Twitter features a Chinese hero, Mei, in her traditional attire, that would become her skin in the game. Mei had recently got a new skin in the latest event. However, some gamers feel that Mei might get another skin for the upcoming event as the sole Chinese character.
As per iDigital Times, looking at all the ornament sprays released in Winter Wonderland event, gamers might be able to find a few clues for the skins. But again, this might all be a big coincidence and nothing at all. However, as gamers might have noticed that Symmetra might be wearing a gown and Genja might be wearing a kimono. So, Symmetra is definitely in need of a new skin after all the old skin doesn't suit anymore.Even with all the guesses and speculations, the gamers need to hold on to breaths till Jan. 24, 2017 when the event kicks off.

However, the makers wouldn't disclose what skins the main characters would be getting till the launch of the event, when all the characters come live. But the Korean 'Overwatch' Twitter account has revealed about a legendary skin for D.Va. It is likely that both D.Va and Mei might wear the exact costume they wore to celebrate The Year Of The Rooster. Now, it's quite cool as the Blizzard team had hidden a mystery egg for the fans to find.
