‘The 100’ Season 4 Spoilers: The Second Apocalypse Is Coming
- comments
"The 100" Season 4 release date approaches and fans are starting to brush up on the CW's post-apocalyptic action series in preparation for another exciting season up ahead. The fourth season will continue where the season 3 left off, with the survivors having barely six months to prepare for the inevitable, the threat of a nuclear meltdown and its accompanying radiation.
A.L.I.E., the artificial intelligence who wanted all humans to exist only within its virtual world, had already warned that in around six months, all hell will break lose. In the coming "The 100" Season 4, nuclear radiation will make a worrisome 96 percent of the world inhospitable to humans, reports Entertainment Weekly.
And the released "The 100" Season 4 trailer agrees with that assessment. It will indeed become harder for humans to live. A large number will perish when the day comes. Even those that survived will be facing an even bleaker future with pre-cancerous lesions, lack of potable water and the ever-present conflict which would most likely be aggravated by the dwindling resources necessary for survival.
In fact, "The 100" Season 4 tagline "From the ashes, we will rise," might be a bit too optimistic for the upcoming season, notes Den of Geek. Showrunner Jason Rotherberg even hinted that fighting could only escalate given the limited resources everyone will have left.
Aside from the nuclear radiation, "The 100" Season 4 spoilers say that there will be friction within the group as well. Apparently, a few will start to question Clarke's leadership such as Monty and Murphy. In fact, Roan could be plotting something so that he will have his chance at ruling.
Hopefully, a few of "The 100" Season 4 cast will survive the coming second apocalypse, otherwise there will not be a fifth season. Speaking of cast, most of the actors who portray characters that are not yet dead as of the third season's finale are expected to return in the coming season as well.
"The 100" Season 4 release date is slated this February 1, 2017. It will occupy the 9 p.m. timeslot on Wednesdays on the CW.
