Larry Sanders is determined to return to NBA. According to recent reports, the former Milwaukee Bucks center and power forward has been working out with Boston Celtics but there is no contract yet.

Sanders was a rising star in 2013. In fact, he ranked seventh in Defensive Player of the Year voting. His success has secured him a $44 million contract extension from Bucks.

Unfortunately, in the next 16 months he allegedly injured his thumb in a bar fight, was involved in marijuana and had incurred a series of suspension and prolonged absences that made Bucks buy out his contract. Later on, Sanders admitted that he wanted to take a break from NBA due to fear concerning his mental and physical well-being, Yahoo! reported.

Sanders' abrupt departure from NBA happened two years ago and now the 28-year-old player from Florida is ready to continue his basketball career. In a Twitter post, Larry Sanders announced he is officially back and that he really missed the game.

Per CBS Local, Sanders has made a name on the defensive end of the floor and he is one of the best rim protectors. In his five-year career in the NBA, he has averaged 1.8 blocks and blocks 2.8 shots per game. He also averaged 6.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

Per Keith Smith, Larry Sanders has been working out with Celtics lately but there is no contract yet. However, Sanders fits Celtics best as Boston needs a rebounding center and rim protector, of which Sanders is able to provide.

For those following Sander's career, his return is not surprising. The player already hinted his potential return in his chosen profession in an interview before.

"I love basketball, and if I get to a point where I feel I'm capable of playing basketball again, I will," he wrote in The Player's Tribune. In the said write-up, Sanders explained that he is leaving NBA not because of money but he wants to give himself the time and space he needs to find his true purpose in life.
