Azealia Posts Rihanna’s Number On Instagram; Feuds Over Donald Trump
- comments
When Rihanna tweeted her outrage on Donald Trump's anti-immigration policy, the last thing anyone would expect was rapper Azealia Banks coming after her.
Banks took umbrage at Rihanna's tweet and insulted the singer and defended Trump's policy on Instagram. Rihanna responded by making fun of Banks who confessed on sacrificing chickens last December. Not one to let insults go, the rapper responded on Rihanna's Instagram account and accused her of having a drug and sex addiction, as per Perez Hilton.
Things escalated further when Rihanna continued with another post making fun of the chicken sacrifices Banks has made over the years with minimal impact to her career. Banks decided to post what she claimed to be the "Anti" singer's number. Rihanna took it in stride and posted a series of texts from an unknown number insulting her for her alleged drug and sex addiction. The tweet implied that the sender was none other than Banks and Rihanna called the sender a weirdo, Vulture reported.
Banks' work as a rapper has been unfortunately eclipsed with her online spats. She was banned on Twitter for making homophobic and racist tweets against former One Direction member Zayn Malik. A few months after that incident, she tweeted a series of insulting tweets to former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Palin threatened to sue her and the rapper posted a formal apology.
Even before she was banned on Twitter, Banks already gained a reputation for stirring the pot online. Her public meltdowns and outbursts have characterized her career more than her musical output, with her beef with Rihanna as just being the latest in a long line of celebrity feuds.
While both celebrities have now wiped their social media accounts clean for any evidence, they remained buzzing in social media. Most fans were disappointed that Banks doxxed Rihanna by posting her number, although that number already been disconnected.
