A recent study reveals that working earlier than 10 in the morning can ruin health. Aside from the fact that waking up early is painful, a research claims that it can also put one's health at risk.

Science has once supported how drinking wine before bed helps in losing weight, now it has also opened up about the dangers of getting up before 10 for work. The study conducted at Oxford University found that pushing a staff to work before 10 am can make them become ill, stressed, and exhausted. Prior to reaching the age of 55, "the circadian rhythms of adults are totally out of sync with the average 9-5 working hours, posing a serious threat to employees' performance, mood, and mental health," Women's Health said.

Study author Dr. Paul Kelley suggests that sleep deprivation is damaging to the body's physical and emotional aspects as well as to the performance systems. "Your life and your heart have different patterns and you're asking them to shift two or three hours. This is an international issue. Everybody is suffering and they don't have to," Kelly said.

This is contrary to the belief that a person can change its own circadian rhythms as no one can alter the 24-hour rhythms. The body cannot learn on its own to get up on a specific time as it is attuned to the sunlight and no one is conscious about its performance as it reports directly to the brain and not on a person's sight.

A week or less of sleeping below six hours leads to several changes in the body's function. This affects attention, long-term memory, and performance. It can also lead to anxiety, exhaustion, anger, frustration, weight-gain, impulsiveness, and high blood pressure. Telegraph also reported employees who are working on an earlier shift may danger their not only their health but also their output.

However, employees are not advised to decide on their own time to get up and work, instead, it's best to talk with their employers. After all, it's not only them who will benefit from the new breakthrough but also the entire company as it impacts the productiveness and results.
