Mischa Barton Voluntarily Taken To Hospital Due To Her Mental Instability

Neighbors found Mischa Barton, the 31-year old OC famous actress on the top of the fence in West Hollywood screaming last Thursday morning. Due to what has been observed Barton has been taken to the Hospital at Cedars-Sinai in LA for a mental health evaluation.

According to TMZ, Barton screamed about the end of the world and rambled about her mother being a witch and her dog named Ziggy Stardust. At one point she fell off the fence and told, "Oh my God, it's over! I feel it, and it's angry!" while wearing her white dress and tie at the same time.

Sgt. Enrique Mandujan from the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department told USA Today, that even Barton has been speaking incoherently, yet she decided to be voluntarily taken to the Hospital for her mental observation. Sherrif Deputies and firefighter were called to the scene after hearing a report about a jumper or possible overdose.

Back in July 2009, Barton was also been placed in a psychiatric hold after seeking a medication for her tooth infection, Barton has been sectioned for two weeks under '5150' a Californian law whereas the psychiatrist has a power to involuntarily confine a person who is experiencing mental instability that will jeopardize not only their self but with other people as well.

At that time, she stated that if they (psychiatrist) have seen the symptoms of her being depressed or even a danger to herself they can hold her in 5150. "I am terrified of needles and they wanted to pump me full of drugs and I said, "No, absolutely not. I don't want to be here," and that moment when she refused the process of the medication she got into fight with the nurses and that led her into 5150. Barton experiencing this kind of mental instability and psychiatric hold referred to it as her "full-on breakdown," via Daily Mail.
