‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Sexy Spoilers: Jamie Dornan Talks About Sex Toy that ‘Didn’t Work’, plus behind the Sex Scene Secrets

“Fifty Shades Darker” had been the talk of the town lately after its predecessor “Fifty Shades of Grey” became a hit. Yet, little do fans know that behind those steamy sex scenes are laughter and well, sex toys that don't work out as Mr. Grey revealed.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jamie Dornan who plays the daring billionaire, Christian Grey revealed that amid the BDSM theme of “Fifty Shades Darker,” some sex toys didn’t quite turn out the way it was designed. The bearded actor revealed that the “spreader bar” was something that didn't work a couple of times and held them back a little bit.

The spreader bar could be seen in the “Fifty Shades Darker” in the scene where Christian flips Anastasia Steele over. Yet amid the steamy scene, the scene was revealed to be edited since Anastasia played by Dakota Johnson giggles and snorts in the previous takes.

The 34 year old actor also said that the sex toy which is described as something that restrains your sex partner, is not yet made into reality. Hence, the prop staffs had to get it right in accordance with the “Fifty Shades Darker” book. With that said, the hunky actor noted that the spreader bar then became good when it mattered even though they didn’t achieved what they wanted.

Speaking of sex scenes, new “Fifty Shades Darker” director James Foley revealed on USA Today that he changed the Red Room. He said, “I wanted it to be warmer, I wanted it to be funny and I wanted the sex to be erotic. Those were my marching orders to myself.” He also mentioned that when Dakota is spanked she giggles a bit, which he concluded to be okay. Thus, laughter began to be their icebreaker on set.

With that said, in his interview with ET Online, Dornan also revealed that Dakota is the one in the compromising positions than he is. With Dakota revealing that there are more sex scenes to be expected in the “Fifty Shades Darker” movie, Dornan concluded that they always make sure that they don’t let Dakota try something she isn’t comfortable with.
