Scarlett Johansson has received mixed feedbacks with her statement about monogamy. The actress has been married twice and is now in the process of divorcing French journalist Romain Dauriac. In an interview with Playboy, the "Lucy" lead star had shared her feeling about marriage and surprisingly, it was conducted before their split but rather than holding back, the actress spilled it all.

"Well, with every gain there's a loss, right? So that's a loss. You have to choose a path. I think the idea of marriage is very romantic; it's a beautiful idea, and the practice of it can be a very beautiful thing," Scarlett says. "I don't think it's natural to be a monogamous person. I might be skewered for that, but I think it's work. It's a lot of work." She also says that since it is a work, it means that it is not a natural thing.

Scarlett Johansson that although she has a lot of respect for marriage and that she has also participated in it, twice, she says that it "goes against some instinct to look beyond." She also shared her idea of matrimony.

According to E! News, she said that marriage needs a lot of people who have nothing to do with the couple's relationship. The "Under The Skin" actress also emphasized it as a "legally binding contract" that has pressure to it and will affect the relationship no matter what stage the couple is in.

Scarlett Johansson also stated that being married is different with not being married as it changes a thing and although it's a beautiful responsibility, it is still a responsibility, as reported by News.

Scarlett and her soon-to-be ex-husband Roman Dauriac had separated in January with a two-year-old daughter. The actress, who also stars in The Avengers series of movies, had been previously married to Ryan Reynolds in 2008.
