After the release of Nvidia’s powerhouse GeForce video cards GTX 1080 and Titan X Pascal, the long awaited GTX 1080 Ti had just been leaked to go on sales next week, March 5 for $699. Nvidia then claims that the GTX 1080 Ti is 35 percent faster than the GTX 1080. Hence, would have a slight edge when compared to Titan X as well.

According to ARS Technica, the difference between Nvidia’s GTX 1080 Ti and Titan X is in memory. The GTX 1080 Ti is said to have a 11GB of GDDR5X memory. Thus it only has 352-bit memory interface and 88 ROPs as a result. Meanwhile, the Titan X is said to have 12GB of GDDR5X, 384-bit interface, and 96 ROPs. It’s 484GB/s bandwidth also makes the GTX 1080 Ti’ 11GHz memory run faster than Titan X’s 10GHz.

Engadget then strongly pointed out that the GTX 1080 Ti is said to be Nvidia’s fastest since it packs 11GB of VRAM which Nvidia’s partner company Micron's "G5X" memory would be first use. In which the G5X’s 11Gbps bandwidth capability would have VR or 4K/5K HDR compatibility with any game that would please any gamer.

Meanwhile, it was mentioned that Nvidia’s GTX 1080 Ti and Titan X has similarities in terms of using the same GP102 GPU, with 3,584 stream processors. Having “224 texture units split across six graphics processing clusters and 28 SMS” were said to be same as well.

What’s more is that the GPU itself had been reported to undergone FinFET process, which is a new thermal process to keep everything cool. Pre-orders for the powerful Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti are said to be open on March 2.

Speaking of price, it was said that Nvidia’s GTX 1080 Ti would costs almost similar to the GTX 1080 Founder's Edition at $699. No official exact release date and price for the GPU just that it is expected to be released on March 5 this year. Also, GTX 1080 was reported to have its price cut down to $499.
