During an episode of, I'm A Celebrity last Sunday night, contestants were brought out to a field for a challenge to guess how much weight they had lost after six weeks. Casey Donovan, one of the participants, makes a remarkable loss of weight after losing 17kg in six weeks in the South African jungle.
Casey Donovan had weight issues since the start of her career in Australian Idol. She opened her story on WHO and admitted that she hasn't weighed less than 100 kilos since she was 14 years old. She joined I'm A Celebrity weighing 149 kilograms and she vowed to get her weight under control and to have her goal weight of fewer than 100 kilograms during her stay in the show.
On a previous episode of the I'm A Celebrity series, Casey Donovan admitted that she wanted to change her weight and shape after asking Natalie Bassingthwaighte to teach her how to hula. She then shared to her groupmates that she would love to drop 50 kilograms.
Doctor Riesa Jansen van Rensburg confirmed to Casey Donovan that she lost 17 kilograms of her weight from 149 kilograms to 132 kilograms. Casey did not expect her weight loss during her stay in South Africa for two weeks. She just thought that maybe she would lose 5 or 8 kilograms.
But it wasn't just Casey who had dropped a significant amount of weight. Per Mail Online, Cassey and her groupmates worked so hard and took several exercises together. Retired AFL player Dane Swan first weighed in at 101 kilograms and lost 14 kilograms, Olympian Lisa Curry, who was 76 kilos when she entered the jungle, now weighed 67 kilos, Comedian Nazeem Hussain also dropped nine kilos from his original weight of 79 kilos.
It is indeed a great accomplishment to finally lose weight. And as what Cassey Donovan said, "It is good to be happy and confident in your own skin now, but it would even be better to feel how it is to be happy and confident in a new skin and with a new look on life."
