"The Last of Us 2" may not be out yet, but a lot of speculations have been circling the PS4-exclusive game title. But recently, Creative Director Neil Druckmann has finally unveiled more information about the game.

The first installment set a high bar for action-adventure survival horror games; surely there will be high expectations upon its highly anticipated sequel. The official trailer of "The Last of Us 2" was released December last year, which featured what seemed to be an older version of Ellie and Joel, and since then a lot of theories have been made.

One of the most famous and controversial speculation is that Ellie might be pregnant. This speculation came from easter egg that shows a pregnant woman which seemed to be the older version of Ellie.

A report from videogames republic stated that Joel, the protagonist from the previous installment, might be dead in this upcoming second release. Looking through the trailer, Joel asked Ellie the question, "what are you doing kiddo? You really gonna go through this?" Joel used the word "you" instead of "we". Ellie's answer also hints the same thing as she used the pronoun "I."

Neil Druckmann revealed that "The Last of Us 2" will revolve around a cycle of hatred and violence. Story of revenge is also possible as it was evident on Ellie's threats which were seen on the trailer. He also hinted that the plot could be opposed to hope and love. Based from his statement, a happy ending may not be expected from the game.

"The Last of Us 2" release is yet to be announced. According to Digital Spy, the game is still in its early phases and development. We can't expect it to be released anytime soon. However, new trailers are expected to be released within a few months.
