NASA Masterplan to Make Mars Habitable: Wrap Red Planet with Huge Magnetic Field to Screen Cosmic Radiation

There is no shortage of literature about Mars. From Bradbury to Wells, to television shows and movies, the red planet has long been a fascinating dream for humans. NASA has conceived a master plan to erect a planet-wide magnetic field to shield Mars against cosmic radiation thereby making the planet habitable.
According to Science Times, scientists at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are planning to encase Mars with a huge magnetic field that would shield the planet from solar winds and cosmic radiation. If successful, the plan outlined by NASA would give the planet its atmosphere back and make Mars habitable for humans.
The thirst for knowledge propels the Homo Sapiens into the future, forever searching for answers. And one possible future is to make Mars a cradle of life for humans. There is one problem, though, Mars is a dead planet. 4 billion years ago, the planet was stripped of its magnetic field that acts as a shield against solar winds and cosmic rays.
The red planet since then has simply been uninhabitable. The recent National Geographic mini-series aptly titled "Mars" tells the story of how human beings transplanted life to the red planet. However, to make the planet habitable for humans, NASA's plan to provide Mars a magnetic shield to create an artificial magnetosphere would stop Mars from drastically losing atmospheric pressure.
According to Science Alert, if NASA's plan is successful, the atmospheric pressure on Mars would half of that of the planet Earth. Also, the temperature on the red planet would rise up to a degree that could free up carbon deposits to propagate into the atmosphere and create a greenhouse effect.
This greenhouse effect, in turn, would melt the ice on Mars and where there is liquid water, life is not way behind. NASA's plan was first proposed at the Planetary Science Vision 2050 Workshop.
While Mars has become a staple of science fiction, the people of Earth have long dreamed of making Mars their home in the future. These novels and television shows speculate that life, abstract or as evil as they may be, on the red planet exists or have existed in the past.
Human history on Mars would only begin after the people of Earth have restored the red planet's atmosphere, possibly with the help of NASA's master plan to provide a magnetic field. Only then can Mars be habitable and fit for colonization. Only then can humans from Earth birth their own Martians.
