Niantic CEO Announces A Major Update in 'Pokemon Go': Introduction of New Berries, Better Teamplay, Region-Driven Pokemon Migration and More!

It is superb news for the players of "Pokémon Go" since the wait for an update will be ultimately over. This is the first major update to the game since it was launched last year. The CEO of Niantic, John Hanke has shared a lot of information about the developments of the game in an interview.
Though the game "Pokémon Go," is quite realistic in nature some of the players might be tired of catching the same weedles, ratatas and other characters, which have become extremely common. But the latest reports have brought to light that Pokémon might show a completely different behavior in the coming weeks, reported Trusted Reviews.
The CEO has pointed out that the developments of "Pokémon Go" in the upcoming update would play a significant role in the enhancement of the game runs. The update will bring about the introduction of eight new characters from gold and the silver video games. New features of the game are also to be introduced along with the new characters.
As per Tech Radar, the gameplay will be entirely new, and there is a new item carousel which will allow the players to select Berries and Poke Balls directly from the encounter screen. The update will also see the addition of a few evolution items which hints that some of the animals that were initially discovered in the Kanto region will be able to evolve into Pokémon that inhabits the Johto region. These will be available shortly, at the Poke Stops.
The introduction of New Berries in the form of-
- Nanab Berry: It slows down the Pokémon's movements.
- Pinab Berry: It doubles the amount of received candy on succeeding with the catch in the next attempt.
Finally, "Pokémon Go" will be upgraded with new options of customizations that will allow the players to customize the appearance and looks of the avatar. The player will also be able to buy other new items from the Pokémon shop that is in the game.
