Just over a month before its impending release, a massive leak reveals new features of the much awaited Samsung flagship smartphones, the Samsung S8 and Samsung S8 Plus."While there are tons of rumors floating around the Internet regarding their Specs, some of them are bound to be true.
According to Fox News, the South Korean tech giant, Samsung, has confirmed that they will unveil their new flagship smartphones, the Samsung S8 and Samsung S8 Plus on March 29 during a special event in New York. These new flagship smartphones are expected to be released worldwide on April 21.
However, this close to its launch, the specs of the "Samsung S8" and Samsung S8 Plus are still largely unknown and the rumors surround them remain unconfirmed. On the other hand, technology pundits are suggesting that the new Samsung flagship smartphones are going to be the "Android phone to beat" based on the massive leak divulged by Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities.
According to Kuo, the Samsung S8 and Samsung S8 Plus would come in two variants. The "Samsung S8" will have a 5.8-inch display while the "Samsung S8 Plus" will have a 6.2-inch display. This means that Samsung S8 and Samsung S8 Plus have slightly bigger display than the former flagship smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Forbes report that both the Samsung S8 and "Samsung S8 Plus" will have increased resolutions due to the change in aspect ratios. Both flagship smartphones will feature curved OLED displays and they will have no physical home button, both a first in the Galaxy S Series.
Both the Samsung S8 and Samsung S8 Plus will also sport a new iris recognition sensor which will be a part of six sensors along these new flagship smartphones. They will also have an 8MP front camera and a 12 MP rear camera.
The massive leak also hints that the Samsung S8 and the Samsung S8 Plus to be sold in the US, Japan, and China will be equipped with Snapdragon 835 chipset while the flagship smartphones to be sold in Europe and other parts of Asia will have the powerful chip Exynos 8895.
Samsung is expected to go all out in the development of these new flagship smartphones, especially after the embarrassing failure of the "Galaxy Note 7" launch. Also, fans of Samsung can expect the best available versions of the Samsung S8 and the Samsung S8 Plus to be released since its competitor, Apple Inc. is reportedly going to launch a new flagship smartphone of its own in line with their 10th year anniversary.
