LG G6 Update: United States And Canadian Mobile Carriers To Offer Flagship Device On April 7

Latest updates have revealed that the long-awaited LG G6 will be available in the United States and Canadian retailers on April 7, 2017. The highly-anticipated smartphone has already launched in Korea where it is reported that about 20,000 units were sold at launch.

However, recent updates have now revealed that the United States and Canadian mobile carriers will offer the flagship device on April 7. It is reported that the update on LG G6 was revealed by Evan Blass, who is said to have made the tease on Twitter. A date displayed on the lock screen of the device in the tweeted picture has been a common way of conveying such message without actually saying it explicitly. Although some fans have their reservation, it is believed that Evan Blass is reliable and rarely gets anything wrong.

It was previously reported that pre-orders for the LG G6 smartphone are set to commence on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, in Canada. The developer has revealed that the flagship smartphone will be available to carriers such as Bell, Fido, Koodo Mobile, Freedom Mobile, Rogers, Eastlink, SaskTel, Videotron, Telus and Virgin Mobile.

But fans are still left in the dark as LG did not reveal unlocked pricing for the LG G6 smartphone. According to Mobilesyrup, retailers such as Best Buy Mobile, Wirelesswave, Tbooth wireless, Costco Canada and Mobile Boutique, will also carry the LG G6 at launch.

However, there are some unanswered questions with regards to the LG G6, as Canadian customers as still not certain about LTE-connectivity and wireless charging features. It has also been reported that there will be slight differences between the United States and Canada versions of the flagship device in the area of connectivity and wireless charging. But other aspects of the smartphone are likely to be the same.

The LG G6 is also reported to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, 32 GB of internal storage, 4 GB of RAM, 3,300 mAh battery and dual 13 MP main camera. GSM Arena reported that the Mystic White shade option of the flagship device will apparently not be available on the United States market.

The report also stated that this warranted a separate tweet for fans that did not get the hint from the render. Only the Ice Platinum and Astro Black versions of the LG G6 were revealed in the tweet.
