If you're suffering from from baldness, fret not because a new hair growing method brings good news! - the Follicle Method.

A recent study has discovered that creating new hair follicles is possible by using a certain type of human skin cell, lab tests have proven.

CBS News notes that this new cure for baldness can be helpful for burn victims and other patients who have gone through severe hair loss. This can also help those who have already tried several common hair loss treatments but have still failed.

According to the study, researchers have discovered the cell known as dermal papilla cells. Researchers say these can be cultured in rodents and transferred to human skin cells to produce new follicles. Their hypotheses have lead to the theory that the dermal papilla cells of rats are more active and spontaneous compared to when they are placed on human skin samples. Hence, the cells must be cultured in a process that will encourage new growth as fast as it does with the cells of rats.

New York Times further explained that at present, the transplants would involve the transferring of hair follicles from the back to the front part of the head. It may take up to eight hours and can also cause huge scars. From the scalp, tiny patch of cells will be cultured in the lab and wait for it to increase before injecting it back on the thinning or balding spots of the human head. This process will allow hair new growth instead of just plainly transfering hair.

Yahoo! News however notes that the new technique is still undergoing further enhancement to perfect its proposed advantages as the newest hair loss treatment.

Watch Dr Angela M. Christiano, one of the leaders of the study, as she explains further the details of the new hair follicle method procedure:
