Everyone wants to lose weight, but sometimes it can be a long, drawn-out process. The following lists certain methods, which can help reduce weight in just about a week or two.
#1: Eat Low-Glycemic Vegetables
Eating vegetables, in general, will help the body stay full. According to Cosmopolitan, vegetables contain complex carbs that take longer to digest, which is why it keeps the body satisfied longer.
Dr. Oz suggests eating low-glycemic vegetables because it helps burn fat. According to the site, these particular vegetables will first burn though the body's glycogen storage, then start burning fat.

#2: Do Cardio Everyday
Cosmopolitan also suggested doing a cardio workout 30 minutes a day. Calories can be burned by doing any workout that increases the heart rate, thus, cardio routines, in particular, burn more calories. Wendy Larkin, a personal-training manager at Crunch's Polk Street gym in San Francisco, explains that cardio engages multiple muscles at the same time. As a result, more calories are burned.
#3: Drink Water and Coffee
Drinking water will help flush out the system of excess water weight, reports Cosmopolitan. H20 has zero calories and carbs, and little to no sodium, unlike sports or energy drinks. The site suggests that water is better because it also jump-starts the metabolism.
However, there is one exception to the "only water" rule, states Cosmopolitan, which is to drink coffee before a workout session. A cup of coffee will help increase the body's energy levels, explains Dr. Klauer. The doctor adds, "You'll burn more calories without realizing you're pushing yourself harder."
#4: Do Push-ups and Lunges Every Other Day
Larkin says, "Push-ups target your upper body, while lunges work your butt, hips, and thighs." The site recommends doing 12 of each exercise, split into 3 sets.
Cosmopolitan adds a quick tip stating, "Make sure your back and legs remain in a straight line during your push-ups; it'll improve muscle tone. Also, you can build ever more muscle with the lunges if you hold free weights in each hand while doing them."
#5: Sleep An Extra 30 Minutes
Sleeping just a half hour more will keep the body well rested, states Cosmopolitan. Esther Blum, a registered dietician, reasons that a well-rested person will make better food choices and will not be too lazy to go to the gym.
Sleeping in an extra 30 minutes also boost the metabolism and building up body muscle, which results in better muscle tone.
#6: Additional Things To Do
According to Doctor Oz, taking a probiotic every morning and a detox bath every night can help lose weight. Prepare the bath with two cups of Epsom salt and one cup of baking soda. In addition, take a multivitamin, half in the morning and the other half at night.
