With the holiday season approaching, along with shopping events like the Black Friday sale, many are definitely looking at the idea of shopping for Christmas gifts already. Many may also become impulsive shoppers without thinking about the dangers of toys that could be toxic for kids.

According to the 28th yearly report of the Public Research Interest Group or PIRG's Trouble in Toyland, there are still a good number of dangerous toys found in store shelves that customers must be extra wary of. AZFamily.com wrote that reports lead to laboratory toy testings that have proven that some items have high amounts of lead, phthalates and even cadmium. There are also still some tiny toys which can post choking hazards to smaller kids, or toys that are too loud that can affect the hearing of children.

The said report has been consistent in rendering safety guidelines for buying toys. It has even offered lists of toys that will be safe for children to play and use for a total of 28 years. "Consumers should be able to trust that the toys we buy are safe," Shaina Shay, Arizona PIRG Education Fund representative, said.

3WKYC.com also listed the primary findings included in the PIRG report. They categorized it as toys with lead content, magnets which can be easily swallowed, choking hazard toys, and the noisy toys.

According to the site, there is no complete list of specific toys but it is advised for every buyer to take the time to examine any toy item before even purchasing it.

CNBC, on the other hand, bravely mentioned a list that may be violating some rules:

Punch Balloons made by Toy Investments Inc, sold at Toys-R-Us for $.98
