Paris Hilton has been seen sporting a tinier mid-waist lately on Instagram and recently, she talked to Daily Mail about her new diet and exercise.
The perfume mogul and DJ star admits to loving fried foods, like cheeseburgers and fries, since childhood. Fitness Magazine said that the young celebrity used to frequently eat at McDonalds and Taco Bell in the past.
She tells Daily Mail, "I used to eat that way, but I decided to change things this year. Now I don't do that. There are times when I will stop at a Carl's Jr., but I will maybe get a turkey burger or something healthier instead of a cheeseburger and fries. I am more careful now."
She adds that cutting fast food from her diet has helped her lose weight. "I lost about five pounds just from staying away from the Drive-Thru's," said Paris.
Lately, the "Come Alive" singer has adopted new diet strategies in order to maintain her slim waistline. One of her strategies was to cut off all kids of soda from her diet.
"I stopped drinking soda a year ago. It just shrank my midsection almost overnight," says the 34-year-old singer turned DJ. She adds, "I wanted to drink more water and also I just got tired of it. I used to like Coca-Cola..."
In addition to drinking more water, Paris has also increased her vegetable and fruit intake by drinking more smoothies and juices. "I like green smoothies, they taste good and they make me feel more energetic. I also like regular juices. I get a lot more vitamins these days, more fruits too, more vegetables..."
As for her workout plan, she admits that she's never really been a gym person. The former Guess model tells Daily Mail that she was a tomboy growing up and prefers outdoor activities.
She does, however, love doing Pilates. She says, "It's a great way to exercise because you use so many muscles and get a really good workout. I use the machines, not mat Pilates, and it just works for me."
Teddy Bass, Paris Hilton's trainer, shared one of her exercises, named "Around the World," with Fitness Magazine.
To do the exercise, first lie face-up on the floor. The hands should be placed behind the head, while the elbows reach out to the sides. The knees should be bent with feet firmly planted on the floor.
As the first rep begins, place the left ankle over the right knee. Then lift the left elbow and shoulder toward the right knee. After return to the center and crunch up.
Bass recommends doing 12 to 15 reps of the exercise. Also, it is advised to repeat each rep as the legs are switch from left to right.
