Bruce Jenner will reportedly reveal reveal himself as a woman after an interview with Diane Sawyer on 20/20. The two-hour program will be aired on Friday, April 24, 2015, reports Daily Mail.
According to TMZ, the Olympic gold-medalist will allegedly shed his male persona to show off his female self in the interview with Sawyer. Since the reality TV star will still need to undergo further surgery to complete his transition, TMZ says that the April interview will focus more on Bruce's "mental state and his journey."
Hollywood Life might have found out a little bit about the two-hour episode of 20/20 from a source close to Bruce. Apparently, the Olympian champ's sons, Burt, Brandon, and Brody, were asked to take part in the special but Hollywood Life does not confirm whether they actually participated.
However, Hollywood Life does state that Esther Jenner, Bruce's mother, "sat down with her son for the special. The report adds that the conversation with Esther and Bruce was "emotional with lots of tears."
During the 20/20 special, Bruce will talk about the times he revealed to all three of his ex-wives his wish to become a woman. While Kris Jenner will not be featured on the episode, she is mentioned. Bruce will talk about his marriage to Kris and her support during his sex transition, reports Hollywood Life.
The report adds that each of Bruce's Kardashian step-daughters along with his own daughters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, will show their support via social media. However, none of them were featured in the special as well.
TMZ states that Bruce will reportedly talk about his life since the age of five, which is when he felt he began to identify himself as a woman. The special will apparently show several interviews that were shot for the special over a period of time.
The 65-year-old will talk about the difficulties he went through because he identified himself as a woman, reports TMZ. In addition, Bruce seemingly spent a great amount of time explaining his decision to become a woman and how it affected his family.
TMZ further explains, "Bruce realizes he has already become a target for people who either don't understand why he's transitioning or those who have outright contempt for it." The reports adds that Bruce is "doing the interview to both free himself and educate the public."
