There are some natural remedies that can offer relief for children who have allergy symptoms. Mother Earth Living lists some allergy symptoms kids may exhibit such as recurring headaches or migraines. Other symptoms may be related to the stomach, like stomachaches, gas, diarrhea, and constipation. Recurring infections of the ear, bladder, and sinuses are also among the list of allergy symptoms.

Mother Earth Living advises that all parents consult a doctor when a child "manifests" these symptoms and warns against diagnosing the child themselves. Listed below are some natural remedies and treatments parents can try to help relieve their kids of the allergy symptoms after diagnosis.

#1: Stinging Nettle

This herb is recommended by Dr. Patrick Fatrellone, an integrative physician and herbalist, reports Fox News. He says that it will reduce inflammation as well as produce histamines. Fox suggests drying the leaves and boiling them in water to make tea.

#2: Ginger

Ginger is an antioxidant that super effectively reduces inflammation in the respiratory tract, according to Fox News. The report suggests that parents can give ginger candy to their kids. Parents could also try making ginger root tea with added honey "to make it more palatable."

#3: Bayberry

Mother Earth Living reports that this herb contains tannins which is apparently helpful for runny noses and sneezing. The herb is available in capsules or parents can get fresh bayberry and make tea. The report does caution, however, that bayberry is not ideal for treating a dry or scratchy throat.

#4: Eyebright

This is an anti-inflammatory herb with astringent actions that help "decrease excess secretions from the nose and eyes," reports Mother Earth Living.

#5: Rose Hips

This herb is a good source of Vitamin C and bioflavonoids which contain antihistamine and immune-boosting properties, states Mother Earth Living. In addition, rose hips can add some flavor to herbal teas, syrups, and glycerites, making them taste good.

#6: Quercetin

Quercetin reduces histamine which can help with running noses or itchy eyes, states Fox News. It is a bioflavonoid which can be found on the peels of fruits. It is the white substance seen on oranges, tangerines, and grapefruits.

 #7: Bilberry

This is a plant with fruits and leaves that contain plant pigments, "super antioxidants," and quercetin, reports Fox News.

#8: Black Elderberry

The flowers of this plant help prevent viral infections by boosting the immune system. In addition, it can be used to effectively relieve coughs. Fox News advises to "steep the flowers in boiling water and raw honey for three minutes."
