Bruce Jenner garnered a lot of love and support after his interview with Diane Sawyer on 20/20. The most support came from his six biological children and his four step-children.
Bruce has been married three times to Christie Scott, Linda Thompson, and Kris Jenner, reports Buzz Feed. With Scott, Bruce had Casey and Burt, while with Thompson, he had Brandon and Brody.
In an unaired scene of the interview, the Olympian's eldest children - Casey, Burt, Brandon, and Brody - talked about their father's lack of involvement when they were younger, states Hollywood Life. Bruce himself admitted that he disappeared from his children's life as he struggled with his identity.
According to NY Daily News, Casey said, "We have a very complex relationship, he's disappeared out of our lives, especially out of my life. So, I'm looking forward to this next chapter. I personally hope that this journey leads us to the place that he wants to."
Meanwhile, Burt said, "The one thing I think that we have gained that means more to us than anything is the honesty."
NY Daily News reports that Bruce's honesty helped Brandon "shed the pain from his childhood." During the unaired scene, Brandon said, "Us missing, you know, a time of our lives is probably the hardest thing for us to deal with. We're trying not to look back. We're just looking forward."
He goes on to say, "In seeing him come out to me, and explain his true self, I was more proud right then to carry the last name and to be a part of the family than at any time before."
The rest of the gold-medalist's children took to Twitter to show support for their dad, reports Buzz Feed.
Kourtney, his eldest step-daughter with Kris, tweeted, "Couldn't be a more proud daughter. With courage and bravery, let's change the world. I am honored to stand by Bruce's side and support him."
Kim Kardashian also took to twitter. In one of her tweets she wrote, "Your honesty has opened the doors for others to be courageous and live an authentic life! #respect #hero #family"
Even Khloe tweeted her support, reports Mirror. Bruce stated during that interview that Khloe had the hardest time accepting his decision. Her tweet said, "Just finished watching the #BruceJennerInterview with the family. Bruzer, I'm soooo proud of you! Dads really are heroes."
