Beyonce recently showed off her slim, curvaceous body at the 2015 Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute gala. Celebrity Health Fitness describes her gown as "a nude jewel-encrusted, Givenchy Haute Couture gown." Queen Bey finished off the look with a top-knot ponytail which showed off the back of the gown.
According to sources, Beyonce's latest weight loss secret is a vegan diet. After giving birth to her daughter with husband Jay-Z, the "Partition" singer lost 65 pounds by following a 22- day vegan diet. It consisted of only plant-based foods, reports Celebrity Health Fitness.
While the "Diva" singer does not currently follow a 100 percent vegan diet, she does maintain a mostly vegan diet for health and weight loss reasons, state Celebrity Health Fitness.
International Business Times retrieved a sample of Bey's meal plans from the 22-day vegan diet courtesy of E!, which can be seen below.
Day 1
- Breakfast- Vanilla chia pudding with one cup of fresh berries
- Lunch- Crunchy red cabbage and green apple sesame slaw with one cup steamed cubed sweet potato
- Snack- 1/4 cup hemp hummus with fresh vegetables
- Dinner- Black bean and quinoa salad with quick cumin dressing
- Dessert- Dark Chocolate
Day 2
- Breakfast-Smoothie with 1 cup almond milk, 1 large frozen banana, 1-2 tablespoons almond butter, 1 serving of 22 Days protein powder, and a heaping cup of leafy greens (spinach, chard, kale, etc.)
- Lunch- 1 brown rice tortilla (Food For Life brand) or two gluten-free corn tortillas with 1/4 cup hemp hummus, fresh or roasted red bell pepper, sliced cucumbers, and a handful of greens. Serve with steamed vegetables as desired, or a small side salad.
- Afternoon Snack- 22 Days bar
- Dinner- Zucchini pasta with cherry tomatoes, sweet potato, basil and hemp "parmesan"
Marco Borges, Bey's trainer, states on Examiner that the "Crazy In Love" singer loves snacking on 22 Days Nutrition Bars. He says, "Her favorite flavors are Peanut Chocolate-Chip Nirvana, Cherry Chocolate Bliss, and Pineapple Chocolate-Chip Wonder."
Along with the vegan diet, Beyonce exercises with Jay-Z, usually doing some cardio exercise, body-weight squats, lunges, sprint intervals, and plyometric exercises, reports Examiner.
"They'll work out together whenever possible. She'll be running and he'll be on a bike, or she'll be jumping rope and he'll be biking," says Borges.
