The company that brought Oreos, the American classic cookie, is dishing out a new flavor -- S'mores!

The s'mores-flavored Oreo cookies will be available on May 22 at $4.49 per pack for a limited time only, according to Time Magazine.

The staff of the magazine got their hands on the new flavor and dubbed the cookie to be "delightful." The s'mores-flavored Oreo has a chocolate-marshmallow cream filling in-between graham cracker cookies.

They compared the s'mores-flavored cookie to most of Oreo's limited edition flavors and found the former to be "really, really sweet." However, they noted that the cream filling of chocolate and marshmallow make up for a great balance, while the vanilla cookie that was made to resemble vanilla crackers was just so-so.

Over on to Buzz Feed's side, they have mixed reviews from their staff, with some people not liking the taste of Oreo S'mores.

"I thought it could have tasted more like s'mores. Still, it was really really delicious. And clearly, they should be called S'moreos."

"The s'more Oreo - the s'mOreo - is one of the better Oreo experiences I've had in my life. I don't know how much it tastes like a s'more, because it's a cookie, but whatever it is, I love it."

There were also some who were pleased with Oreo's new limited edition.

"They were, dare I say it, better than regular Oreos? I'm not going to say it. (They were though.)"

"It reminded me of that time I had to run from a bear when I was at summer camp: incredibly exhilarating. MOAR (sic) PLEASE."

There were some who were half and half with the new flavor.

"As cookies, they aren't a bad substitute for s'mores. However, nothing will EVER be able to replace the gooey, chocolatey, marshmallowy goodness of the real deal."

"I don't hate this. The graham cracker taste is a nice change."

And hilariously some people think the s'mores cookies needed to be roasted in open fire.

"Very enjoyable, really tasted like s'mores, curious what would happen if you stuck it over an open flame."

"It's OK. To be fair, I was going into this with high expectations. Maybe I should go nuke this cookie in the microwave and give it another go."

At Huffington Post, the staff who taste-tested the new flavor found it to be satisfactory rather "than a freakout-level mouth explosion."
