Bristol Palin: 'This Pregnancy Was Actually Planned'
- comments
Bristol Palin is finally breaking her silence after receiving criticisms regarding the announcement of her second pregnancy earlier this week.
Last Friday, Palin has posted on her personal blog a not-so-excited announcement that she is indeed pregnant and calls it a "huge disappointment to her family, friends and fans."
She has broken the news a month after calling off her wedding to Dakota Meyer and neither Palin nor Meyer has confirmed who the father of Palin's second child is. Incidentally, Meyer appears to have responded very subtly by posting a Facebook post, criticizing the media for letting big news like acts of terrorism and war be overshadowed by a "dog and pony show".
In less than 48 hours, Palin appears to have a change of heart and is saying that the pregnancy was actually planned. According to People Magazine, the 24-year-old mother of one claims that despite the disappointment her second pregnancy has brought, she wants everyone to know that the pregnancy is planned.
Bristol explains that she has always wanted a big family and as she feels she's heading that path anyway, she went ahead and got herself another baby. Although things did not go as planned, she believes in moving on with life. She also gushes that she can't wait to be a mother to her second child and that Tripp, her son from ex-fiance Levi Johnston, will be a great big brother.
In an interview with E! Online, Pali stated that although her pregnancy can't be considered as an ideal situation, she is and will always be pro-life. She strongly believes that abortion is not the answer and her decision to keep the baby is her stand for life.
In 2011, when Palin was just 19, she has been tapped by The Candie's Foundation, a non profit organization that promotes abstinence to avoid early and teen pregnancy, to help educate teenagers about the consequences of becoming a teen mother.
US Magazine has also released a report stating that the foundation is supporting Palin's pregnancy because they believe that her courage when she admitted her mistakes publicly helped thousands of teens nationwide.
On the same note, Seattle Pi writes that the young mother has also clarified in her blog that she was never paid as an "abstinence spokesperson" by The Candie's Foundation, but rather, she is employed by the organization to shape the youth of America.
