Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, talks a bit about "Thor 3: Ragnarok" during press day for the upcoming Marvel flick, "Ant-Man."

Recently, rumors have been spreading that Kenneth Branagh would be directing the third installment to the "Thor" series, reports Youth Health Magazine. Branagh directed "Thor: The God of Thunder."

However, Feige has debunked the rules about Branagh heading the production of "Thor 3: Ragnarok," telling Collider"Not true. I don't know where that came from. Probably towards the end of the summer we would announce a filmmaker and a writer. May be the same person, I don't know, may be two different people."

Den of Geek believes that Alan Taylor, who directed "Thor: The Dark World," will not be returning for the third movie installment as well. Taylor has since gone on to to direct "Terminator: Genisys".

Meanwhile, Collider assumes that there will be a separate director and writer for "Thor 3," since there is only one writer-director left working for Marvel Studios: James Gunn. Joss Whedon has left the studio since working on "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

So far Craig Kyle and Chrisopher Yost have been working on the script for the movie together. Other than the fact that the movie is set in the Norse apocalypse, no other details have been leaked about the film.

Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki in the "Thor" films, has talked about one possible new character for the film that he feels would be perfect for "Ragnarok": the Enchantress.

"When I was first reading the comics, the relationship with the Enchantress was one of the really fun things I thought would be good to explore, and may have even pitched it to Kevin Feige at some point," Hiddleston told Total Film magazine.

"...[the Enchantress] is as sneaky and as untrustworthy as he was. They basically had a really fantastic and twisted relationship...they keep betraying each other, in away. So it could be good," Hiddleston explains.

"Thor 3: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be released on November 3, 2017. Screen Rant believes that filming for the third installment of "Thor" will take place in England, as that was where the second installment was filmed.

Comic fans will not have to wait until "Thor 3: Ragnarok," however, to see the Marvel Universe superheroes on the big screen.

"Ant-Man" will open in theaters this month on July 17, 2015. Next year, two Marvel movies are scheduled to be released: "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6 and "Doctor Strange" on November 4.
