Since the announcement made by Game Spot last May, fans are anticipating when the new Tony Hawk skateboarding game will be released. They have been given a teaser which revealed the company Robomodo as the developer and is said to include power-ups and a mission-specific ability to allow skaters to shoot in a projectile manner.

Game Spot reports that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 will once again tickle the imagination of all skateboarding game fanatics since the original has been introduced in 1999. Tony Hawk said the franchise's success came as a surprise for him and his team of developers as it was only accidentally made.

The skateboard guru shared that when they first released the game, it was just to inspire skaters to start playing video games with satisfying graphics and features. He wanted gamers to have the authentic experiences represented by their sports.

With the success of the franchise and because of Pro Skater HD, which was released in 2012 and has sold thousands of copies, the Pro Skater 5 has been born.

IGN adds that the new game will feature a 20-player capacity for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. Robomodo president Josh Tsui said that as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 is especially known for its multiplayer features, this game will encourage skateboarding enthusiasts from around the globe to have online skate sessions with friends.

Tsui added that players will be enticed by the new missions, new contents and level-up strategies that can be played both offline and online. They can even have a one-on-one competition which makes the game really exciting and competitive.

The president also said that pro skaters who will be featured as characters include Tony Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Chris Cole, Riley Hawk, Lizzie Armanto, Jaws Homoki and Leticia Bufoni, to name a few. Customization of skaters is highly encouraged as well.

Although some fans are disappointed with how the trailer turned out. Paul Tassi from Forbes writes that Pro Skater looks a lot like a PS2 Game, which in gamer lingo only means something negative. The contributor states that the game looked like a prototype gone wrong due to the blank environment, graphics not as smooth as it used to, and doesn't seem to be giving a Tony Hawk vibe.

Robomodo has developed Tony Hawk's previous games like Tony Hawk Ride, Shred, and Pro Skater HD. Pro Skater 5 will be released on September 29, 2015 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
