After rumors have surfaced that "Space Jam 2" is in the works and LeBron James has been tapped to play the lead role, the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar has taken to Twitter for a tell-all Q&A with his fans. As if the speculations are not enough to make fans highly anticipate the release of the movie, James’ subtle answer neither denied nor confirmed his appearance, making fans more excited for the said film.

It has been reported last Wednesday that James will be partnering with Warner Bros. and his production company SpringHill Entertainment for an "unprecedented agreement." According to Cleveland, the agreement will center on SpringHills working on movies, TV, and original content for Space Jam, which previously starred Michael Jordan in 1996.

Even before this agreement has been released, Consequence of Sound has reported that after James made his acting debut in Trainwreck, which earned the baller positive and rave reviews, the rumor mill has not stopped speculation that a sequel to Space Jam will be released soon with James on board.

Deadline, who sparked the rumor in 2014 while James is still with the Miami Heat, has written that a sequel to Space Jam may be a good deal as it has raked in $230 million worldwide for Warner Bros. through the help of basketball legends Jordan, Larry Bird and Charles Barkley.

Pop Crush adds that according to Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara, James is one of the most powerful brands in the world and his presence with their unmatched production and marketing expertise will be a big win not only for them, but for the fans as well.

CrossMap adds that Charlie Ebersol will be producing the film and Willie Ebersol will work on the script. No release date or other cast names have been released.
