If you were a teen in the late 90's to the early aughts, you're pretty familiar with the charming brothers from the boyband 98 Degrees. While the foursome went on a nine-year hiatus in 2003 and came back in 2013 to release a new record, members of the band had gone to pursue other endeavors, with Nick Lachey, arguably one of the more popular members of the pop group, taking on hosting duties for NBC's The Sing-Off and The Winner Is, and VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.
Speaking of reality TV, Citybeat reports that Nick, along with his brother, Drew, recently opened a sports bar in their hometown of Cincinnati, located on 12th Street in Over-the-Rhine, between Vine and Main Streets. The A&E Network follows the brothers' venture into food and dining with Lachey's Bar, a reality TV series that airs at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Aside from entertainment, music, and now the restaurant business, the boys are also big on health and fitness. The two, who seem to be aging ever so gracefully and retaining their 90's charm, recently led a hot yoga class at Bikram Yoga NYC as part of Bud Light's #UpForWhatever campaign, which includes various activities and collaborations with different artists.
The 38-year old younger bro told People that he has done Bikram yoga "a couple of times, but regular yoga more." Drew's venture into yoga was due to a chronic back problem, with which he was diagnosed in 2008. His doctor recommended him to try yoga instead of spending time lifting weights.
Drew explained, "Yoga makes me sweat. Your body feels better, especially your hips, lower back and hamstrings. It changes how you feel."
As for the 41-year old Nick, he said, "I’ve been doing Bikram yoga for about two hours. Today was literally my first time doing yoga of any kind."
Nonetheless, the big bro, who often works out by lifting weights, doing the elliptical, and running on the treadmill, told People, "I can definitely see why people gravitate to [yoga]. It’s a little spiritual in its own way and you definitely get a good stretch. It serves a lot of needs."
