Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 tablet has been rumored to be released on Oct. 4 according to reports.
According to the report by Tech Times, Surface Pro 4 will be more "powerful" than its predecessor.
Tom Warren, founder of WinRumors and senior editor of The Verge, posted tweets about the hybrid tablet.
"If you liked the Surface Pro 3 you'll definitely like the Surface Pro 4. Don't worry, it won't be using Core M chips," Tom Warren tweeted.
If Tom Warren's tweet is true, the Surface Pro 4 could likely be using Intel's new Skylake chip, which is more power-efficient and can deliver more battery life.
According to the International Business Times, it is rumored that the new laptop will be sold in two variants, in 12-inch and 14-inch screen displays with 4k resolution, and that it will be slimmer and lighter than Surface Pro 3.
According to Silicon Angle, Pro Surface 4 will have an 8 MP rear camera and 4 MP front camera, and made from an alloy of magnesium-aluminum. In the same report, it is also rumored that Surface Pro 4 will have a RAM space of up to 16GB and have a maximum storage of up to 500 GB, which may vary from 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB.
According to Yibada's report, Surface Pro 4 may come with a preinstalled Windows 10 operating system, and instead of having the new USB Type-C connector; it will have USB 3.1 and USB 3.0 ports. Surface Pro 4 will also have an i5 or i5 core processor and have an Intel Core Broad Well CPU chip which will make it a fan-less tablet. The price tag for the new laptop will be $1,700, a higher price than that of Surface Pro 3 which had a retail price of $1,149.
For Surface Pro 3 users, some of them have been having trouble upgrading to Windows 10. Microsoft has responded to their customers by emailing them that they can get free upgrade services at any Microsoft stores, according to CNET.
"Visit a Microsoft store near you for FREE upgrade services. Come into our store with your device and we'll help you get to Windows 10. Our Answer Desk will evaluate your device, make sure you have everything you need for an amazing experience, and take you through all of the new features of Windows 10," CNET cited Microsoft's online Answer Desk.
