"Deadpool" creator Rob Liefield revealed that Marvel's Colossus will have a major role in the upcoming movie in 2016.

During the Q&A session at the Amazing Hawaii Comic-Con, Rob Liefield revealed about Colossus' involvement in the upcoming "Deadpool" movie.

"You guys have seen a glimpse of him in the trailer; at San Diego in Hall H, they showed a little bit more of Colossus...You are going to love Colossus in Deadpool. He's in it a good amount; he doesn't just walk through the movie," Liefield said, as reported by Cinema Blend.

Colossus is a Russian superhero who is mostly associated with the X-Men. The outlet explained that would-be audience of the movie should not expect a "direct adaptation" of the two as they rarely interacted throughout the comic books.

"Deadpool" is the first Marvel movie produced by Fox. It will be shown in theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.

Even before the first movie is yet to be released, there have been talks that there will be a sequel with Ryan Reynolds as the mutant anti-hero. Writer and producer Simon Kinberg said in a report by Collider that the talks of "Deadpool 2" started while they were on set of the original movie. Kinberg wrote and produced several X-Men movies including "X-Men: Future Past" and "X-Men: Apocalypse" as well as "Gambit," "Fantastic Four" and "Deadpool"

"I have seen a rough cut of Deadpool and it's fantastic. It's a really good movie. It delivers on the promise of the trailer... We really committed and leaned into it being R-rated. It's just darker and edgier and weirder in the best way-like Deadpool should be-than any other movie in the genre," said Kinberg.

However, according to the report, Kinberg does not know if 20th Century Fox has made a decision on the sequel.

"We certainly are talking about the sequel-we were talking about the sequel while we were making the movie just because when you make a film like this that's from a serialized source material, you hope that it's the first of many," Kinberg explained. "But yeah [Fox is] feeling good about it, we're all feeling really proud of it, so hopefully before it comes out we will be well into the process of figuring out a sequel."

"Deadpool" director Tim Miller hinted that Cable may be in the sequel. According to Wired, Kinberg is also in the talks about connecting "Deadpool" with "X-Men" and "Gambit." According to Den of Geek, the script is written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.
