NASA has announced two low-cost planetary missions – Lucy and Psyche – which will study some strange asteroids and try to learn about the infancy of our Solar System. Lucy will launch in 2021 while Psyche will launch in 2023.

NEOWISE mission, a component of NASA's WISE project has detected two celestial objects en route to Earth's orbit. These will be visible in the first few months of 2017. One of these is a comet and the other is as of yet a possible comet without the dust and gas cloud.
